Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls on the faction leaders to meet and "reach and agreement upon further activity of The Verkhovna Rada."
He made this statement at the briefing after the sitting of Conciliative Council on Monday. "Tomorrow, this meeting shall be held", he stated. It is necessary to hold the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, "since the parliamentary work can not go ahead."
V. Lytvyn stated, "I am not an adherent of discussing the winners and the defeated." "Furthermore, the event in the Parliament humiliated our state and ruined the parliamentarianism, since it is the only place where one can get one´s political convictions across and make relevant declaration", V. Lytvyn is convinced.
